| BIO | Prof. Dr. Martin Dijst is als hoogleraar betrokken bij het project ‘Surveillance in Urban Nightscapes’. Hij houdt zich met name bezig met de begeleiding van Jelle Brands op zijn project ‘ (E)-motion in the Urban night’ waarin de ervaringen met surveillance van bezoekers van stedelijke openbare ruimten gedurende de avond en nacht centraal staan. Martin is sociaal geograaf met een brede onderzoeksinteresse. Zijn aandacht gaat uit naar activiteiten- en verplaatsingsgedrag van bevolkingscategorieën, implicaties van Informatie- en Communicatietechnologieen voor activiteiten en verplaatsinggedrag, de relatie tussen mobiliteit en ruimtelijke inrichting en de betekenis van klimaatveranderingen voor dagelijks leven van stadsbewoners. Martin is in 1996 aan de TU-Delft gepromoveerd en heeft nadien zijn carrière vervolgd aan de Universiteit Utrecht. |
